Competition Rules
Remember closing date for entries 17 September 2010.
- The competition is open to any pupil aged 13-18 on or before 17 September 2010, who is in secondary education in Norway.
- All photographs must be taken in Norway.
- Entries can be of any size but remember if we are to reproduce the image successfully we need a good quality print for judging.
- Photographs can be from - film, digital or mobile camera phone - and may be either colour or black and white. Altered or enhanced images are not acceptable.
- Please supply up to 30 words describing where your entry was taken and what your photograph represents.
- Each pupil can enter up to 3 photographs from each category, but the entries must be individual, not by group or class.
- Each entry must be accompanied by a clearly completed entry form. If you need additional forms, please photocopy.
- Each photograph must include a label on the back with the pupil’s name, age, school, title of photograph and the entry category.
- Do not write directly on the back of the Photograph.
- Photographs should not be framed or mounted and should be mailed in a stiffened envelope to prevent bending.
- All entry forms must be signed by a teacher.
- All entries will be acknowledged.
- Families of the staff of Chevron are not eligible for entry to the competition.
- Copyright of the photographs remains with the photographer, but it is a condition of entry that the organisers reserve the right to reproduce them for publication or other publicity purposes.
- Winners will be asked to supply negatives, transparencies, or a CD of digitally taken images, which the organisers may require to hold for up to 12 months.
- Camera phone images may be entered and you must supply a quality print of your image.
- Closing date for entries: 17 September 2010. Winners will be notified by end of October.
- Judges reserve the right to move photos between categories.
