Welcome to Focus Environment 2008

Scotland’s National Environmental Photographic Competition for Secondary Schools

Focus Environment is an environmental photographic competition for secondary school pupils throughout Scotland. The competition encourages young people between the ages of 11-18, to demonstrate their awareness of the natural world around them.

A combination of imagination, observation and photographic flair can win cash prizes for pupils and their schools.

Focus Environment is an exciting way of encouraging young people to take an interest in Scotland’s natural habitat. There are three subject categories, ‘My Environment’, ‘Wildlife & Habitats’ and ‘Nature’s Moods’.

Christmas Morning by Fergus GillThe entries are divided into two age groups, 11-14 and 15-18. The winning photographs form an exhibition which visits galleries and museums across Scotland.

Focus Environment is a partnership between Chevron, the Scottish Wildlife Trust and BTCV Scotland, bringing together business and conservation in an event that promotes environment, education and the arts.
